My dealer just told me that 20 inch wheels will damage your X5
I had my X5 at the dealer for routine stuff. I picked it up and the service advisor said that the Tech told him i should remove my Style 87 wheels because it will cause the Steering rack to wear out prematurly and also the suspension bushings. He said only the 4.6 and 4.8 can go bigger than 19inched. Because it has a completely different steering system that is stronger and stonger suspension bushhings in our to deal with the extra weight friction and G forces the lager tires and wheels create.
Is this bullshit. Or has anyone else ever heard of this. Sounds like crap to me.
