headlight lenses polish

My headlight lenses have some fine swirls in some portion and I tried Meguiar's Plastix to polish them. I could hardly see any result. Anyone can recommend a better product? I thought those swirls can be buffed out but they're still visible in angle view.

I also heard that you can use some fine water sand paper to sand the swirls out. Anyone knows how to do it? I'm afraid that I'm gonna mess up my headlight lenses in that route.

If it is only fine swirls leave well along. Once you get some heavier pitting then you'll have plenty of "beef" to allow you to sand & polish it out. PM me if you need more.

Thanks! Great info! By the way, what kind of polish did you use after sanding the lenses?

I used a "t" cut polish by Carplan(been using this for years ,here in UK ).This removes the foggy look of the lenses and brings the shine back after you wet sanded them. After this you use a any high gloss´polish to make them sparkle lioke new.You really need to use an orbital polisher!
