Smile Backup Camera Install Problem

Hi everyone,
Today I tried installing a back up camera in a friend of mines X5. We did all the wiring as per the write ups and threads here in X5world. The issue we are having is that when you put the car in reverse the screen just goes blank, no picture at all. Now we have tried both PAL and NTSC camera and it is still the same issue. When I did mine I followed the same instructions from here and mine worked without a problem. The only thing which is different from my install to his is that my TV loom had the RCA's already in the white plug. With his install we have to put the camera video cable to Pin 13 and 14 as per a thread here. After doing all this still not picture just blank screen when we put the car in reverse. Any help and advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

did you connect ground camera wire to pin 17? If Yes, then maybe camera is bad?

Sounds like sync issue, is your camera NTSC?
Check your ground on pin 17, or your relays,

Good luck
