silly question: How to tell which version of navigation DVD I have

Just downloaded the dvd image that is supposed to be NAVTEQ 2009.1 north america, and tried it in my car. Can't find any difference from my old 2005.2. My home is in a new development area and doesn't show up in either maps. I'm now suspecting if the 2009.1 map I downloaded is an earlieer version. Is there any method to check which map version you have? Thanks.

Put the disk in your PC and check the dates of the files/folders, they have (usually) dates 3-6 months before the version of the disk.
In your example, the 2009-1 version should have dates in Aug-Sept 2008

thanks. I checked and the files are created Aug 8th, 2007. So it's not really 2009.1. More likely to be a 2008.1.
