There are tons of threads regarding this. Yes, the AE's out now have the high beam ring larger than the low beam. JLevi has an AE kit. https://jlevistreetwerks.com/

Thanks for the info. I know I saw a lot of threads, but it seems like with any pictures I couldn't make out if they had the bigger ring. It seems quite confusing and there are a lot of options out there. Do you recommend the Jlevi AE's? Theres a lot of in depth talk about them, but I'm not sure what to go with. I was thinking about the Jlevi or umnitza. Any differences between them? Any help would be appreciated.

I installed a couple of sets of the AE's from Jlevi, I think he distributes the umnitza (Sorry if I'm incorrect on that). They are pretty easy to install, more time-consuming than anything. Hope it helps. BTW, if you have PDC, make sure you get the ballasts that won't affect it.

I got the JLevi ones last week. I also have a 2001, heres a pic.

Talk to BMW330XI01, he just did mine, I sent my lights to him, he baked them and installed ae's . He sent them back to me and I wired them took about an hour and a half. He also cleared them out for me, I wish I knew how to post pics or I would, I highly recommend him

Guys, in fact, I have the same question. I have a 2000 X5. If I buy the AE kits, is it easy to install ? is there any risk? such as damaging the car? (I am not an mechanical engineer :-) )
does anyone have any relevant photos of the AE kit and installation instruction to share with me ([email protected]) ? Thanks a million!!!

Doing the first one is a bit of a pain in the ass just because youve never done it before but the second one is easy. My only suggestions would be to put a towel over your bumper in front of your headlight so it doesn't get scratched while you work and take your time. I used hotglue to secure my rings so I had to used a heatgun to put my lights back together.
