You don't have to worry about the flares, you don't have them on your 3.0 unless you've installed them yourself. The DIY is fairly easy. The link to the DIY is on the X5World homepage. You will need the plastic rivet tool (info is in DIY). Lots of threads on the the RB install and vendors as well. I got mine from Crevier.

The wheel arches which come with running boards are fine for your 3.0 unless you want to spend more for looks. If you are BMWCCA member you can use that to get discount at your local BMW dealer who gives most discount, as shipping long distance will not be cheap.
