More info on audio system...
Great job on you system. Can you list specifically what was used to retain your steering wheel controls with you head unit?
What is the breakdown of the costs involved with this job? I would also like to be able to use steering wheel controls with my Panasonic retractable screen. The floor build looks amazing. Thanks again! |

Thanks Ivan it took Sound Waves 6 days to complete the entire system, they used a steering wheel interface from PAC, you can check it out on crutchfield's website at: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-rxbNiD7...skipvs=T&g=750
The PAC module is inexpensive and allows you the flexibility to keep your steering wheel controls. The PAC unit can also be programmed to accept what ever functions you want to use. The whole system cost was roughly $9,000. |

Thanks guys, I am taking the X back to the installer this Wednesday to have the amps tuned (they have been running at 50% power for the last 2 weeks until I broke in the speakers) even at 50% the system rocks, but it should sound awesome once the tuning is done. Since I will not be towing anything in the X I told the installers I wanted the back-up camera mounted as low as possible so they mounted it over the trailer hitch cover, the visibility with the camera is amazing. Happy Motoring!

If you ever get a chance to stop by A&L Motors in in Pittsburgh, you should stop in a talk to eith Alex DiFrancisco or Joe Shimko. THey can show you a dual dvd system made specifically for that BMW that will work with your existing in-dash DVD player, therefore, making it a Triple DVD system. SUPER-PIMP! I really like what you have audio audi and video wise in your vehicle. I think you might like they have to offer.
Let me know, Law
