Now why would your local BMW dealership want to loose out on a sale just by not wanting ot discount a few bucks?

That's a good deal. I agree with you too about dealers. My dealer, while good to me, didn't want to knock off a nickel stating that the profit was about $50. I found out that the markup is actually $750 on the warranty for the X5. I'm loyal to my dealer but money is money so I bought it elsewhere.

Feel good about the purchase. I paid for about half of it on a recent visit to the dealer. For $50 deductible I got about $2400 worth of work done.

I would say that an extended warranty is potentially 100% profit for the dealer. You could go all the way up to 100K miles w/o ever having to take it in. So I would expect them to budge somewhat on the pricing...

It actually expired TODAY!!! Nothing like waiting till the last minute!

Its 2 years so till Jun 2008.. With it coming up to 30k Im sure things will start to act up soon..

Cost on the warranty for the X5 is $2500. It is less for other models so you might be thinking that Morristown had a deal on that warranty. The price varies depending on model.
