a bit confused

ok so i know this will sound silly. I was washing my car yest and when i hit the brakes i noticed one bulb was out. so i look in the light and see theres a bit of water on the wire harness. i wipe it off remove the bulb put it back in and its fine. this morning i go to my car and i get the bleep bleep check rear breaklight/light first the question is should i just get a new bulb though that one does not seem to be bad? and second why the hell is there water?

I suspect that the seal on the light housing might be compromised...so water is leaking into it. I would first take out the entire light housing and inspected it. Seeing water in it is a bad sign and may lead to other electrical problems if it's not taken care of ASAP.

thats the thing there was no water inside the housing its almost as if the water just went around the housing and got a few drops inside by the harness it wasnt anything significant. I took out the housing put it back in looked at it and didnt notice anything wrong. is this covered under CPO or only factory? my factory runs out either tomorrow or next week i forget, so i want to get it taken care of ASAP

Let me guess, the right side? The Right side goes 3 to 1 to the Left, I have no idea why. Prepare to get a new taillight assembly. That water problem is common, once the dash light starts to go off the water has already damaged the connection on the housing. You can mess with it for a few months and it will just frustrate you. Get a new housing and that will fix it.

Water seepage into lights is covered by the CPO warranty. I've had my headlights replaced because of condensation.
