Many here use Axxis(PBR outside of US) Deluxe. I just installed PBR deluxe pads 2 days ago. So far so good but it's too early for me to give an opinion. Other options are Mintex, Akebono, EBC, Hawk, Jurid and of course OEM.

You'll need new sensors (one each, front and rear) now that the warning light is on. You might need new rotors too.

Good DIY articles on the X5World home page. There are plenty of threads on brake pads. Do a site search on "brake pads".

I'm waiting on UPS as I type this. I got some Axxis deluxe for 47.00 including shipping. Odd enough, my rears went way before the fronts. My tech told me that I have another 10k on the fronts and no rotors are needed for the rear this go around .....Phil

I just purchased 4 Brembo rotors and Axxis deluxe pads from import for $521, and ready to put them in. When your light comes up that means you will need to replace the sensor cable. It's about $30.

30.00 for a sensor is double the price...they're only 17.00 at the stealer and BavAuto for 15.00.............Phil
