Help on driver's side door lock

I just bought my wife a 2002 X5 3.0i. She says the driver's side door lock does not alway lock or unlock. When she starts out, the auto door locks are fine on the other three doors but the driver's door she needs to push down herself. Also, when unlocking the doors with the key remote, the driver's door does not come up all the way and the door remains locked. After the second or third try, the door unlocks.

She is dropping the X5 off at the dealer next wednesday and I wanted to know what to expect for them to fix it. She also is having the instrument panel replaced for burnt out pixels (yes, I was able to get BMWNA to pay for the part).

Thanks if advance for any info.
