PIAA LED powered HALOS

Has anyone ever bought and used these LED replacement bulbs for the halos?

Many people have bought them, not liked them, and returned them to buy ours:

Is there any way to fully replace the angel eye rings on the facelift x5s. Not really "digging" the angel i brights' color change/ brightness.

I've seen both and the angelibrights are brighter and look better.

Wow. Angelibrights are extremely expensive ($350). FWIW, the PIAA's are about $200 and Brex White Rings are also about $200. They're an obscure item to find but guys on E90Post seem to love them.

I have the PIAA angel eye bulb upgrade.

While I find that the PIAA's are not as bright in the daylight as the OEM angel eyes, I do think that they match the stock xenons quite nicely, albeit with a slightly bluish tint (which is barely noticeable when the xenons are on). I've had them for a couple of months, and like the look, and the price. Couple of pics, here.

The guy with the #2 post on the M5boards (his name is Soaristo) has a link to his website. He's has pictures posted of his Lumileds light fabrication. I couldn't get babelfish to translate his page, but he does have step by step pictures of his assembly. He did a first class job of building his lights - complete with heatsinks and computer case fans for additional cooling.

At the top right hand side of the page there's an option to translate to English using Altavista or Excite!!! Excite worked for me, check it out!!!!
