Dinan Performance Parts

A friend today told me that Dinan lost its contract w/ BMW and therefore BMW will no longer cover Dinan mods. He said Alpina will be performing all factory covered aftermarket modifications...anyone have any further info?

Dinan

Steve Dinan had so many opportunites to sign w/ BMW. But I understand why he chose to hold out. Well I know Steve will do just fine and Dinan will still be a front runner for performance mods for the BMW Market on a global level.

I will take a knee for Dinan today!!

Maybe now Dinan prices will be more competitive - and yeah, I, too, was thinking of the same additions for my '06 - trouble is, it only added up to 9pts - need 10pts for the "DINAN" nameplate - not interested in a brake replacement - I'll have to check out what Alpina offers - wondered why there was a price cut on some Dinan stuff

I just received the following e-mail from Dinan this afternoon. They have assured me that the rumors I have heard regarding their contracts with BMWNA are false and their parts are continuing to be covered by the BMW factory warranty:

Dear Mr. Nelson,

First of all, thanks for the email validating the warranty. In short, there
has been no change to ours or BMW's warranty policy. Dinan continues to grow
its business within the existing BMW dealership network by supporting our
current dealers as will as adding new dealers monthly. Hassel BMW out of
Long Island, New York is our newest Dinan dealer. We are very busy here in
California, developing a wide variety of new products for the BMW product
line. Some of the upcoming products include the new E90 330 performance
line, 550/650 performance, and early next year a 610HP V10 for the M5/M6.
With all of these new offering we expect a very healthy response.

Naturally, I would be very interested in where this misinformation
originated. If you would be so kind to let me know so that I can make sure
that the person making these statement is brought up to date, I would
greatly appreciate that.

Best regards,

Herb Shattuck

On Dinan's website click on "Contact Us" and then when that box opens click on "Feedback"

610 HP V10??? Wonder how much butchering they'll need to do to sqeeze another 100 HP out of a motor that already does 100 HP/Liter.
