How to remove a Park Sensor?
It is one of the center front bumper sensors. Is there a way to remove the sensor without removing the bumper?. If not, can anybody tell me how to remove the front bumper? She is a 2005 X5 |

i don't know how the factory ones are, but if its anything like the retrofit kit (which i think its the same parts), then you have to remove the bumper as its a 2 piece shell/holder that clamps onto the bumper skin... one part on the outside, one part on the inside...
look at PersonaNonGrata's PDF DIY on PDC retrofit for pictures and instructions... |

There is a braket that holds it in from the inside of the bumper. I changed over the 4.8is front and it took me a little bit to figure out how to remove the little thing.
