Arrow In search of a Center Console Storage Bin

Can anyone tell me where I could obtain a Center Console Storage Bin, part number 51-16-8-402-943? I asked my local $tealer and they gave me a price of $94 (+ $50 if I was stupid enough to let them spend the 2 min installing it).

I have seen some posts from last year that stated that it should be between $50 and $75, but have searched the net for parts and have been unable to find any sites that list it.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I second calling Crevier BMW. Tell them you're on xoutpost.com.

I went to my local dealer (owned and operated by BMW Canada) and was quoted C$ 151 (=US$134) for the basic bin and C$21 (=US$18.75) for the rubber tray that goes in the bottom of it.

Does anyone have an on-line / mail order source that can take some of the sting out of this kind of pricing?

Once I get this done I will have a CD holder bin to go if anyone is interested.

John

Now that the X is mine (wife just got an SLK350), I am also wanting this storage tray. I have no need for the CD holder that is in there now.

Let us know if you find a good price!!

If you're talking about the "empty" console bin (no CD/tape storage), I paid about $65 for mine from BMW of Arlington in Arlington, VA. They offer CCA discount too.

That might be tough to do because many have already done this and if I recall correctly, BMW started using the empty storage bin and did away with the silly CD/cassette holder bin in 2003(?).

Do check with Crevier BMW. It should be about $65 as JV stated. I can't remember exactly what I paid for mine.
