What wrong with my RPM

When I travel in city around 40-50 mph, my engine makes louder noise and the RPM seems stuck at 3000 for awhile before it shifts. I can feel more vibration come through the pedals and the floor. I can feel there is something unusual in the engine noise. It feels like there is not 100% performance. Hope this makes sense to you. I don't know how to describe that feeling and that noise. Like being hold back when you try to run with all force. However, when I travel at higher speed, the x5 seems fine: no vibration, no feeling of stuck RPM, no loud noise, accelerate smoothly. Does anyone have this problem before. My car has the SES on with the code P0369.

P0369 = Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor B Intermittent Interruption. It's probably your cam sensor. There's a couple of DIY message threads in the archives.

Thanks for the responses guys. However
1- I am not driving in sport mode. I don't have that option. Mine is 01 X5 3.0
2- I changed my cam sensors both intake and exhaust about 3 months ago. The Cleaner suggested me to change the crankshaft sensor. Have not done it yet.
3- There is no shaking on the RPM. My SES light is on.
what else can it be?

Ok I have the same symptoms on my X3.

The dealer read the fault codes and said it was my oxygen sensor. Replaced it but my problem is still there...

I will go see the dealer again later this week...
