for 4.6is owners help..

Hi recently about 3 months ago I got into a certified bmw x5 4.6is. Some times I feel the transmission rough when braking, let's say when braking at a stop sign when the car has comed to full stop sometimes I can feel like a push I think it comes from the tranny. The dealer says the tanny is fine.. any thoughts?

Knock on wood I have never experienced that problem...how many miles are on your 4.6? Did you get a service history or carfax report when you purchased the vehicle? Service reocrds indicate any prior trany difficulties?

There have been quite a few posts about that issue (or similar). Here is one of them: http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...highlight=jerk

Use the search feature and you will come up with more info. My 4.6 has been pretty much perfect in the tranny (fingers crossed) but I know other's have not been so lucky. Check with your dealer about getting the tranny software reinitialized/upgraded. Good luck!
