2006 4.8is to buy or not to buy is the question.....

So you guys know i just picked up a 04 4.4i, my dealer has in a brand new 06 4.8is Lemans blue. i was contemplating on trading in my 04 for it but cannot decide on what to do since the 07s are on thier way....

Depends on several things; one being what price is the dealer giving the 4.8is?

I swapped my '04 4.4 for an '06 4.8 just 2 months ago. I probably paid too much, but I really wanted it. Get it, enjoy it, and wait for the comparable E70package to come out and trade up.

I would agree with LeMans about the price. If you like the style of the current X5, and the discount is good, get the 4.8is. Otherwise, wait for the E70.

I assume since its new there is no mileage. That is a good price, see if you can bring him down close to $61-62. But stil a good deal if you like the car. I enjoy every moment of driving my 4.8is.

I am looking at a 06 with 4k miles and its 60K. it was bought then traded in so essentially its used. I think your price is good in comparison. I have been looking for a month now.

stopped off at the dealer to take some photos. GOD i love the 4.8 i think im going to get it.. tomorrow i will decide for sure.

well the wife and i decided not to get the 4.8is since we are having a baby and could use the extra cash, she is 12weeks into her pregnancy. we will enjoy our lovely 4.4i and put some money towards new wheels and still come out ahead.
