It Just Keeps Getting Stranger and Stranger...

As many of you know, I installed my BTUM last week...not the most pain-free go-live I've ever experienced. It's on the list to check out at the dealer next week.

This morning, new problem. Cold startup to leave the house, the soothing sounds of Alt Nation tickling my eardrums, but the MID is oddly dark. Hmmmm...I press the radio button and several of the other buttons and...nothing. Steering wheel controls work, but nothing on the MID works.

Well, one minute into the start up sequence the audio dies. Nothing. I can do nothing to rescusitate it. So when I stop at daycare to drop off Little Princess, I turn the car off. When I restart, I get - you guessed it - one minute of audio then silence. This repeated itself several times throughout the day. As I stated above, I've added this malady to my growing list to be addressed at the dealership next week (including my BTUM's apparent muteness), but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this particular problem.

(And I thought passing on DSP/Nav would buy me a trouble-free - and reboot-free - audio experience! Shows what I know...)

Any comments/advice/opinions welcome and appreciated!

UPDATE

I removed the MID last evening and double-checked all the harnesses and connections and reattached everything good and snug. I still get the one minute tease and stealth setting on the MID (i.e. totally dead). Any ideas?

Update - Dealer replaced the MID unit and that fixed the problem.
