I put these on my 2001 with HID's and they work fine. Mounting them is a little bit of a pain. But the quality is great.

All of the pertinent articles are listed in the X5world homepage under the heading "Lights."

If you do a search on "Angel Eyes" you find many posts over the past year on members' installation experiences complete with pictures.

I guess I was basically trying to fine the best ones for my year and model. I once purchased a set of AEs for my E36, and evey time I wash the car they fog up. I ended up buying euro-spec complete assemblies. This is why I am a little hesitant 'bout baking open my HIDs........

i think you have no choice, for your model year 00-03, there are no OEM headlights with OEM AEs you can find. They have to be "opened"

Goodluck! You can do it!
Please Do not use "hot glue" to mount the rings.
