02 vs 03 3.0 X5's

So I am on my never ending quest for my X5. The 2002 CPO, Sport, 40k miles I was about to purchase has dropped to $24.9. There are a few non CPO 03's out there that have b/t 6-10 months of factory warranty that have dropped to $26.9 with 40-43k miles. One has sport, but the others are pretty bare. There are a few 2003 CPO's, but they are @$29-31k which is getting past my price range.Which one makes the best sense? A few months of factory warranty or 18 months of CPO?

IMHO, CPO. To extend the warranty it's going to run you $2500 - $3000. I have to extend mine in November.
