Adding X5 to the Stable

Joining the X5 club. Our 06 4.4 has arrived. Will pick it up later this week.

We just found out premium sound doesn't come with even a single cd. Come on BMW lose the cassette and at least put in a single cd. Hardwiring Ipod so its not that big of a deal though.

Initial projects:
Tinting front 35% & adding 50% to the rear's existing 40% factory(should result in 20% on the rear).

Valentine V1 Hardwire

Ipod integration: not sure DICE or Dension IceLink... will get on the phone tomorrow. Any preferences?

Nav Screen interface for video.

Zaino Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6, Z8 this week.

Mike

Congratulations, and :xoutpost:

Check with Tom G. at EAS or Micah at BSW for options and advice on the audio and video.

And there's an article on the home page with tips on hardwiring the V1 - http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/e...-hardwire.html. You might also want to check out the Stealth-One.

Yes I printed that DIY out last night as well as your icelink DIY.

I'll give Tom & Micah a call tomorrow.

Thanks,

Zaino,

The ice>Link Plus has been replaced with the DICE iPod integration kit.

We've got you covered on the iPod and Video on Nav integration - shoot me an email or feel free to call if you would like to discuss what options you have.

Congrats!

HMM311, welcome to the board! I too just picked up an 4.4i X5 (01) and I luv it! Just got off the road with her as I drove it to Clearwater from Atlanta. Ol girl is a beast let me tell ya. She just got registered as I just got her two weeks ago. She has her normal wear N tear (F-L/O cv boot) but other than that she's great! Make sure to post some picks of your 06 awight! Crap I need to do the same too.
