Opinions/thoughts on exhaust tips

My OE exhaust tips are already starting to get discolored and I found these on Ebay. They are less than 1/2 price of the ones at Bavarian. Has anyone had experience with either?

$43.00, you get what you pay for. I know the OEM tips for my 4.4 are like $130.00. Just buy OEM, you will be happy and they will fit for sure.

That's kind of what I thought. The old "if it looks to good to be true..." I'm just kind of disappointed that it's only 8 months old and there is already a small (pencil eraser size) spot of rust colored crap on the right pipe. It will probably come off with a little elbow grease, but I'm sure it will return eventually.

try using a good SS polish on them, you may be able to get the tarnish off.

I had bought the OEM tips for my 2001 4.4 X5 for $134 from $tealer and used for 6 weeks last year and then took them off before selling the X. They are almost new. I am actually looking to sell them.

Thanks for the offer, but mine is a 3.0 Wishing for a 4.4, but that will have to wait.

That guy has been selling those tips forever, They are the exact same thing as what you would get at the dealer. I bought a pair a while ago from him. Fit perfectly on the 3.0 tips and look great.
