I went in today for my 05' X5 4.4i because it ran out of washer fluid and also there was a recall. The guy told me that he was going to do a low mileage service and I should come back mid-Nov. I have 9k miles on it and I bought it August 05', WHat exactly is the Low Mileage Service?

That is when you don't drive enough miles in a calendar year to reach the normal service interval trigger. BMW recommends the oil be changed at least once a year, so they likely just changed the oil and filter.

My X5 4.4i is a 2002 model with 36K and I have been told to do Inspection II because of the my low mileage as well.
I took my car to an independent shop to do an oil service, coolant, break fluid, spark plug, air and fuel filter and I asked to perform the Inspection II checkings. |
