Tint Q
Just called a few tint shops trying to find a good one to match my two front windows to the privacy glass in the back.
2 shops said they only care Lumar with lifetime warranties. Another said they carry 2 brands (one is Formula 1) and there are 8 different grades of film between the 2 brands. Any thoughts if the shops that carry only Lumar are credible or if Form. 1 is a good brand?

FORMULA 1... You will find its more expensive, but its way better than Llumar's metallized film...
Heres a link and some pics to a guy in e90post.com who got his tints with them. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24204

Thanks! I'll go with F1 over Lumar and post pics when I can.

That's got me thinking.
Do most of the members on here have tinted windows on their X5's? Does it enhance the look of the car? Cheers.

It definately enhances the look. But if I were to do it again, I'd choose my film differently, and most definately the installer. |
