Wow. E53 X5 prices dropping fast.

Good thing I didnt pull the trigger last week! A local dealer is now selling a 2004 x5 3.0 CPO w/24k for $29k. Nice. The older 2002 CPO's I was looking at are $3k off. Looks to be a buyers market

I just receive my 2006 X5, less than a month ago I have most of the options available for the 3.0L model (premium package, sport package, xenon headlights, navigation and cd changer,) also got European delivery since I’m stationed in Germany and now the 2007 model show up, it is gorgeous, mine only have 115 miles since I came to Iraq two day after getting it , my dilemma is should I sell and get the new model or wait to until next summer when I move to the US and give it on trade in.

Wait?! No way! Youll lose over 10 grand easy if you wait 'til you get back! The 5-8 you'll save on the e70 purchase price, plus the 4 grand less you'll get on trade in... If you're happy with our e53, keep it. Im sure you got a decent deal on it. But if you are even thinking about getting into an e70, I would try to sell it on the economy NOW. You could probably even make a few pennies with the current Euro rate. If not, when the e70 comes in, you could get a fairly decent trade in for a low mileage e53 with Bavarian Motor Cars. They offered me 32 even for a 2004 with 24,000 miles on it. (Not good enough though)...

Or just put it in the stars and stripes now as a feeler, (its free) and if someone bites, JUMP! But always try the local economy first. I put mine on the market at £20,000 and Ive had about 6 calls on it in a week. For the Brits thats cheap - for me, Im banking on the deal...G/L!

Not here in Norther Virginia. The price on those E53 stay the same. I haven't seen a price drop just yet. They are still selling a CPO 04 X5 3.0 for $38K
