Recommendations for replacement tires on a 4.6is?

I've read here the Toyo's seem to get loud after a few thousand miles. I haven't read much about the Yokohama's or the Latitude Michellins. Any feed-back on these tires? Any other tires to consider? Continental?

Pirelli, you can't go wrong with Pirelli

I had Toyo summer tires on before this winter when I switched to Pirelli and I like the Pirelli's much better. Granted those were winter tires, but Pirelli is great overall.

Try the Scorpion Zero

Very happy with the Yokohama Advan ST. Very quiet, nice ride and good grip in dry & wet.

If you can swing it, get the Diamaris. They are the best, but also the most expensive. I am curious to hear more about the Yoko's also though.

Toyo Proxes!! I had them on my Expedition and loved them. Great tread design too. I did not think they were loud at all.

People have said they become noisey after a few thousand miles.

The Yokohama AVS ST's seemed to wear quickly for me. I went through a set in under 20k miles. (Normal driving, nothing crazy!)

I really do like the Toyo's. I swear they are not loud! Mine were not skinny little tires either, 285's. I put about 10k miles on them.

Diamaris by Michelin is the way to go. Costco has the following offer:Get $60 Off Instantly deducted at Check Out When you buy a set of 4 Michelin Tires between 8/14/06 and 9/3/06.

Would you really want to put something from Costco on your Bimmer?

Why not? Mics Diamaris is the same tire no matter if you buy them from Costco, Tirerack or any other dealer. I've checked local Costco store in Canada, but it is way more then I can get them online. Staggered 20" set will cost me around $1,800 + TAX Canadian. It is about $1,700 USD.

From what I've been reading Diamaris is the best tires for X5.
