Do you know anything about Costco? They have very modern machines for balancing tires and offer nitrogen filling. They also automatically come with a tire protection plan and free patches. So how's a Diamaris from Costco different than on from TireRack?

lol, woah there, it was just an opinion. I've actually been to Costco plenty of times, and they are great for household items (especially steak oddly enough), I just wouldn't buy anything there for my Bimmer...same thing with Best Buy, great store, I just learned from experience that the things they sell there aren't up to the caliber of the car. I suppose it all depends on taste
Ok, my bad, I was wrong about their origin...I'll hold back statements about the french...but I still am not a fan of...let me rephrase...the brands which are popular in the states (Dunlop, Michelin, Goodyear, BF Goodrich, whatever) I prefer the technology of the like of Toyo and Pirelli I apologize if I offended anyone, just an opinion |

(I take back all the evil things I said about you due to the "sounded like you were to good to buy tires at Costco" comment. )

Hmm, to be honest I liked the Toyo just as much just for different purposes. The Pirelli's are awesome, in nice weather they are grippy, cushy, and pretty quiet, however like I said they are winter tires, and they are incredible in the snow, nothing beats the comfort in driving in a blizard just like you would in nice weather. The Toyo's I would say were better in nice weather but at even a flake of snow were horrendous, I didn't really have any problems with noise but they were noticably stiffer, granted I don't really care about ride comfort and they were better handling wise (I felt safer in normal weather).
Honestly, I would go with the Pirelli's because the Toyo (and from what I've experienced other Toyos aren't great in the snow) but the Pirelli's are great in the snow and considering your replacing your tires now and in two months or so you'll be worrying about snow... Also realize, mine are Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow, so they obviously would be great in the snow...I don't know they perform just great in normal weather but some may be against using winter tires in non winter circumstances. I have been away all summer so it worked out ok (I also live in Rochester NY where Ice and Snow are like grass...) |

It's coming on September btw, when I put my Scorpions on it was september. I also recommended PIRELLI and the Scorpion ZERO not the Ice and Snow, those are just what I have. I really don't notice them handling like crap when "it gets over 60." They handle just fine year round. Also in my circumstances there is more often snow and ice on the ground then not. As far as the advice comment goes, I only offer my opinion, and state that it is an opinion, you can chose to follow it or take it as crap. That's up to you |

Oh and just for the record "- UHP -
Ideal for high speed motorway driving. Exceptional comfort, precision handling and excellent traction in extreme conditions. Maximum performance with maximum safety. Supreme choice for alloy wheel conversions." -from Pirelli site The Zeros aren't winter tires, and in my posts I mentioned many times "granted mine are winter tires" |

Pirelli does not make any tire even the scorpion zero that fits on the 4.6 is so pirreli is not an option at all for the 4.6
