Transmission hesitation not fixed!

So I took my '06 4.4 to the dealer's service station to have transmission re-programmed in order to fix this problem and he told me that fault codes didn't verify at this time so he wouldnt re-program tranny.

How successful were you guys with your dealers?
thanks!

I have only had my X for a few months (used) and in the beginning I didn't notice any transmission issues. Now in the morning and when I get ready to leave work the transmission is not 100% working. If I step on the gas the car does not respond normally. It takes about 15 - 25 seconds before it accelarates normally. The fluid was okay when I first got it, maybe it has lowered since? In about 2 weeks it is going in for the 30000 mile inspection. I hope the dealer can fix the problem. I'll tell you what I learn.

My new '06 also has shown some reluctance to quickly downshift and go. Checked with my dealer. He said there was no update for my car. Seems the tranny is setup for best mileage, so a smooth steady foot gives the best response rather than stomping on it. I have to admit, mine gets about 2 mpg more the my '01 across the board. I'd call it a luxury car setup vs a muscle car setup.

My dealer said that my transmission is working as expected. I still notice a difference when the engine is cold as compared to when it is warm though.

I have just spoken with my service guy here in Dallas. I posted once before that there is a v.23 upgrade in the works. They expect delivery in September. This is like the v.22 for the 05's which has been dicussed here. Your dealers may not know about it yet. Also want checkmass air flow sensor.

I'm noticing some shifting issues in my '05 4.4 and I was wondering if others are experiencing them. It's a March 2005 build.

1. When slowing to a stop, you feel a series of quick jerks just before being fully stopped...feels like the tranny is downshifting 3 gears within a second. Doesn't feel very smooth.

2. On occasion, when slowing down almost to a stop and then stepping quickly on the gas again (say at a yield sign) you get a very abrupt engagement...feels like you got rear-ended. This is rare but is VERY annoying.

Anybody else get these symptoms and anybody have them cured by the new software?? TIA
