Oil Consumption

My check engine oil light came on today at 25,000 miles and sure enough, I was a quart low on oil. No oil on the floor, so must be going somewhere else. Anyone else have this problem at such low mileage?

When was the last time you had an oil change? Mine was about 1/2 a quart low for the first 600 miles or so, but not a drop consumed since...currently at 27k miles.

that's not bad for being a quart low. It's just burning a little bit of oil... no need to worry.

Oil change about 5000 miles / 4 months ago.

Top it back up, hopefully it's nothing. I have insp II service coming up soon anyway, will let the dealer know.

If you didn't do the oil change yourself, whom ever did it probably short changed you a bit. Just keep an eye on it after you topped it back up.
Like you said...hopefully, it's nothing.

GL.

you know what the problem is John.. you don't drive it hard enough so it's still not broken in yet!

I usually have to add a quart between oil changes (15K miles)
