Quick tail light question...

For maybe the first time, I finally took a look at the rear of my x5 with the lights on. My question is, are the inner tail lights supposed to light up because mine don't. Just wondering! Thanks!!!

....If you look inside, you'll see there are no sockets/bulbs. I did this mod about 2 months ago, cost about $50 in parts wire and about an hour tearing apart the rear tailgate. Worth it, imo. See home page under Lights, wiring rear-fog lights...
