Air Bag Light - Where to begin???

Where to start diagnosing when an Air Bag light? The codes are 04 0C

Should I inspect the connectors under the passenger seat first?

My X5 had the same code at purchase. Installing a bypass and a seat clip extender fixed it. The air bag will deploy with or without a passenger. It's better to deploy than not in an accident. Mine has this one installed since Jan.
