have any one have the problem with the factory alarm?
my factory alarm goes off every 30min. or so.

I had an alarm problem too. Cheack the hood switch. It is on the passenger side by the firewall. I did like a few others did, just disconected it. Try to disconnect it first for a while and see if it is the problem, if so u can get it fixed or just leave it unplugged.

I did with my 04, it was a faulty interior motion detector sensor

The hood switch is a noted BMW issue on the 2001 model.
