Many stlr and almost all banks use NADA values because they dont allow for options in the cases Ive seen...Usually about 5 - 10% below KBB...

They laugh in S.C., too.
Delears want to make a profit on used cars. They offer below wholesale in case they can't sell it and they have to wholesale it out...still making a profit.

Galves is usually a wholesale number.

These day it's auction price less 5% generally. KBB is not used by the dealers in my area. The actual value of a used car is what it will bring at auction not what KBB prints. If a dealer chooses to keep it and not send it to auction then the dealer will make approximately the same margin as if he purchased it from auction. They will still need to prep the car and certify it if applicable.

Do what I always did, call your local dealer, ask for a buy bid (insert any name of dealer here) and they will ask for certain info, then they will give you a price, I did it on the Z4 and the current X5 (car shopping as we speak), hope that helps!

I was offered $23K for my 2001 4.4 w/ Navi and 45K miles at a used car dealer; the week before I was offered $14K by Pace BMW in NJ, and he was supposedly hooking me up!!! I almost cursed him out...
