Headlight question??

Has anyone baked and removed the head light cover on an 2003 X5? and removed the textured covers around the full beam and projector?? I have seen the mod on the front page but, there was something written saying it was difficult to do on a 2003 X5! So just looking for some advise on this as I would like to do it on my 03 X5.

From 09/2002(if I remember correctly) the lights were "super-sealed" and cannot be opened from all reports. You need to buy a set date stamped earlier than this to make it work.

Somebody actually bought a set of headlights off of ebay. But he was in the USA so there were lots offered. I actually have a new UK/Japan HID light in my "collection" I got on ebay from a US seller. It's a 04/2001 headlight.
