I wanted to give a special welcome to ROB X5K9 as a new but old member. He just registered here at X5world but is no stranger to us old timers who go waaaaay back to the Dark Days on another BMW forum.

We reconnected after I found his e-mail address in some files I have from organizing WestFest III. Rob was there as were his boys and he was at WestFest II in Orange County, organized by SuperGreg. Check them out below in a picture from WestFest III. They are the official Dogs of WestFest. So Rob is no stranger to many of us and he will be attending WestFest IV. Whoo hoo!

A very enthusiastic Thanks to Kevin, for firing off the e-mail. It's great to reconnect with the X5 Gang now over here on xoutpost.com.

Looking forward to WestFest IV, and it's wonderful to learn that the La Quinta resort property is pet friendly. I'll look into booking a couple of nights with "The Boys" Brandin and Dutch. If there are enough people staying there, perhaps a Friday and/or Saturday night party would be in order.

The X5 4.4i sport continues to purr along just fine and is enjoying a brand new set of Toyo Proxies. And for the past few years it's been talking to the world with Kenwood Communications Ham Radio Gear. Looking forward to seeing everyone at WestFest IV. Now just need to decide if I should bring the Thule roof pod or the Yakima roof rack, hummmmm.
