When you look into the coolant filler, does the red rod float or is it basically at the bottom?

It isn't unheard of that the X needs coolant. However, if you are seeing puddles or white smoke in your exhaust, you may want to take it to a dealer.

I droped my son off on my way into work, restarted it is all good. Really weard, like the gost of collant past. I have had the water pump replaced already, so I just wanted to make sure it wasn't another one of those common things.

I had the same problem...Check coolant would come on intermittently. Once in a while I would top it up and didn't think anything of it. Then I noticed a small drip on the driveway one day...again just thought it was the A/C so didn't bother. Turned out that the coolant pan gasket had to be replaced. Took it to the dealer and they found a couple of error codes that happened to be the one of the sensors. Long story short, they had to take off the engine cover and replace several gaskets that cost me just over $1000! So I would get it checked out before it gets worse...

Warmed her up today, and got the same message. I restarted it and it went away. I guess were on our way to the stealer.

i faced the same problem, took it to the dealer, and everything was fine. They said it is just the hot weather. I have to top the coolant up twice or thrice every summer.
