How can you tell if an X5 has Navigation from the outside?

I noticed on another thread that most of you guys sometimes take a look into an X5 to find out if it's got navigation. Just curious as to how you make your assumption.

For example if there's a post '02 X5 with a 16:9 screen, is it likely that it has Navigation?

I think it's a safe assumption that if an X5's dashboard has anything resembling a television screen with several buttons stacked vertically on the left and right of said screen that the car has Nav.

Thanks. I was curious if there were X5's with the large screen, but without NAV. Thanks a lot Driver8!

Another way to look at it, if you only see the Business CD Radio in the dash...it definitely does not have OEM navigation.

Actually I'm on the hunt for a 4.6is. I've got some ways to go before I think of getting a 4.8 I'll definitely keep you guys posted on how it all goes.

I don't know about you guys, but I really enjoy this part of the car hunt. You know, looking stuff up, asking around, finding out the individual quirks / good points about the car, etc. It's kinda like the honeymoon period.

Then after you've got your car, it abruptly ends (at least this has been my experience with my two previous cars.) From what I've been reading and finding out though, it looks as though the honeymoon just goes on for the duration that you own the X5!

Look in the Classified section here - Peter (IFlyX5) has one of the nicest 4.6is's you'll ever find just recently listed there.

Good luck with the search!!
