I have posted the queries below, not the whole post just the questions, I also mentioned about possible group buys etc sorry if it doesnt answer everyones questions but I will post their reply soon as it comes. Have you any pictures of the lights being engaged? From your description this is purely a kit to be installed instead of the existing bulbs and fittings, is that right? The housing is not replaced, is this right? Has the kit been physically tested in an X5? Is there any reviews of this please? These are full on LED lights, not psuedo LED lights, for replacement of all the rear lights or is it just some? Below is a comment from another X5 owner in relation to LED bulb replacement is any of this a problem with your kit or are you aware of it. I personally dont understand it. From what I have read the "sidelight" uses the 21W bulb but with 4.8V AC being provided by the LKM. When brake lights or indicators are needed it provides the full 12V. The LED bulbs are resistor biased for 12V DC and the voltage drop across the bias resistor would not allow them to light. I know quite a few who posted about not getting LEDs to function correctly after fitting. The other thing is that you need a load resistor across the LEDs circuit to make the LKM think there is an ordinary bulb in there or it will flash too quickly and pop the "Bulb Out" on the display. |
