Lets bother Dinan for a chip!:)

I am really into getting the dinan chip from them for the 02-05 newer engines. IT seems like they have not released anything for us.

Does anyone have any close connections with dinan to maybe get an estimated release of the dinan chip for the 4.4, or THE 4.8. I called them liek 2weeks ago and they said "in a couple of months"

so im just wonderin if anyone has any updates or anything as far as when are they going to release some sort of reprogramming chip for the newer valvetronic engines.

Come to WestFest IV and do it in person. I don't know for sure yet but I might have someone from Dinan there.

Hi there guys, I'm with Imola4.8isWA on this one . I would love to get a dinan chip, even if it meant I would have to fly over and pick it up myself

ya pickin it up...but then u would have to get it installed by some bmw shop that usually has used dinan products... i dont think its a simple hook up to OBD port type of chip

I ripped out the Dinan S2 package from my E39 m5 as it never made the power that they claimed. Here's what I suggest, go ahead and get the chip but do a before and after dyno. I will guarantee you that the Dinan chip makes absolutely no power on the dyno. You might want to consider talking to tuners such as AA or Powerchip.

BTW, I've quite a few chipped cars including GIAC on B5 S4 REVO on my B6 S4, PC on E39 M5, AA or my E60 M5, EVO on boxster S so this is speaking from experience...
