Mystery Trunk devices - x5 4.4i 2004 - blitzsafe?
A. Silver Metalic Box B. Black plastic Box C. Connector? D. Connector 2? What can I do with these? I wanted to install XM via blitzsafe and the installation is supposed to be a snap but I don't see any CD changer wires. Where are those? Last edited by bimmerFanatic; 10-31-2006 at 03:18 AM. |

I believe C is the connector for the voice recognition module. The black part is actually a jumper that you remove from the blue plug which allows you to plug the blue connector into the module. The black jumper is left over once the module is installed. (Save it)

So I have bluetooth? Or do I need to buy an additional module? I was reading the FAQ on bluetooth and can't seem to sync my phone to the MID. It doesn't come up on any of the menus.

B is your stereo amplifier.

A- BT ULF- (if your 4-dig passkey cant be found in your seperate BT manual or car sticker, there is a good chance it will be on the underside of this unit. When you enter the car, search for active devices on your phone. Something may show up.
B- Stereo Amp C- SES Connector with Jumper Plug. When there is a standalone VRecog unit, then this blue connector is connected directly to that unit. Your BT ULF may have VR built-in, hence its absence. When it is not present, the black connector serves as the SES Jumper Plug. D- BT Antenna |
