Where is my factory amp on my 2005 european E53 X5 ?

Hello everybody !!!
So i'm ando, i live in France, i have a 2005 E53 X5, i don't know exactly if my X5 is the same that yours in this forum, so i have many questions. I hope you could hope me.
First, where can be my factory amp ? Yesterday , I putted X5 multimedia interface on radio module, to connect my dvd divx player on my nav screen, everything is ok, the divx player works excellent. Now I want to put an amp and a sub, i have bought a Alpine F242 for amp, and the JL audio stealthbox 10w1 as sub, so like in the topic of alpac " how to put a sub amp on the factory amp ", i have searched under the GPS navigation system, but nothing, just the bluetooth. So where european technician could have put the factory amp ? I don't have DSP , so i must search a 12 pins connector ??? I have noticed a thing, near to the radio module under the space tire, there is a black box which are connected 3 connectors, if i remember, a black connector, a white connector and a 3rd connector, i don't remember exactly, but there were all the same . I don't have DSP, is it possible that i don't have amp ? so where can i tap audio signal to feed my amp ?
thanks

ando

You may not have an amp

i live in switzerland and have a 2002 3.0i with business radio & CD player. i have no amp in the rear as i believe it is integrated with the CD player or else the radio. I can't find any other one.

good question. i wish i knew. it's the only thing that's stopping me from installing an amp in my X as well. if you find out, please let me know!!!

but the problem is that there is probably no "pre-amp" out so you'd be amplifying an already amplified signal and the sound quality would likely be very bad.

In my X5, I don't have DSP, but when i listen a cd from the CD changer, the sound is excellent, but when i listen something from the multimedia interface that i have connected on the radio module, when i put the volume high, it's very very bad, and so much bad when I drive hard. I just want to find the audio signal, that goes in the cd changer and radio module, that signal that we could put into an amp because it's high quality sound, and lots people tried it and it works ...

dear unclebob, do you have non connected connector under the floor next to the spae tire ??

If you do not have a separated amp and you just want to add a subamp and a subwoofer you can tap into the rear speakers signal to feed your subamp. If your amp has high level (speaker level) inputs it is all good. If it only has low level inputs (RCA input connectors) then you will need to use a LOC (line output converter to RCA inputs) before feeding your sub amp.

i have a few connectors in the left rear compartment as i have no equipment in there (no changer or DSP or nav, nothing.)
i'm not too sure about under the floor. i've never really checked it out and wouldn't know what any connectors were for.
