Floppy mirrors can they be tightened

Some knucklehead bent both of my exterior mirrors so they were pinned against the front door windows. Now when I put the mirrors back in their normal position, they are loose and gradually move back into the car.

Is there a way to tighten these? There is not visible sign of damage.
