Were they using a laser?

In the UK, radar has almost completlely been replaced by laser systems and they are much harder to detect.

tell my about it. by the time your road angle / micro pilot or whatever warns you about the laser you have been done by the plod.

Unless of course you have the laser jammer. oop's I mean the garage opener.

well it's a defuser pretty much looks the same when you have homelink installed on your car however this wee cadget jams the police lasers not legal though gives you something like 9 seconds to slow down before the laser gun that the police use resets it self.

saved me a few times I can tell you

sir, I haven't been yet in UK so I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but I think that you are confusing laser "guns" with a very modern radar "guns" operating at Ka bands. the time of old stationary radar units is gone indeed.

chubyball, one other question, were was the cop? if he just pulled behind and followed for a moment to check the speed, then he didn't even use the radar to "clock" her

Hi, our UK police still tend to use radar guns say standing at the side of the road when you exit a city on a limit of 30mph. These are being phased out.

Most Police in Police cars use laser guns where they bounce a beam off you from their car they do not however have any video equipment so un less they take chase after you, you have not been done.

Now the "white van" guys use the laser gun backed up by video equipment this is the most common type of speed trap over here in the UK means you get a wee letter through the post a few days later.

Was the volume accidentally turned down (or the stereo up loud) where you couldn't hear it? Was the sensor blocked by something (visor, perhaps)? Did you have the V1 programmed to pick up all appropriate bands?
