Lurker no longer

Many thanks to you who have contributed so much to this site. Over the last year I relied upon your tips and suggestions to upgrade my X.

Yesterday, after several attempts, and relying upon the instructions re removal of rear bumper, I was able to remove the bumper with minimal fuss, pound out a small "tweak" and re-install the bumper properly.

Last year, using the board's information on bluetooth, I installed the ULF unit and microphone. Unfortunately, I'm a Verizon customer and I'm using the v710. Seriously thinking about switching to another provider.

Again, thanks for the help. I'm glad I've been able to follow those of you who have done your own "switching" lately. I look forward to adding what little pieces of information I can to keep the info flowing.

Welcome aboard! I hope you had fun with that Torx 55 bolt in the rear bumper.

Torx 55

I found the Torx 55 head/bit easily enough at Napa. The problem was that my cheap sockets kept breaking as I tried to remove the bolts. Bought a new 5/16" hex head for 3/8" socket and it worked like a charm.

I was amazed at how easily the bumper came off after removal of two bolts and four small screws. Even more impressive was the ease with which the bumper slid back on.
