Newbie question - Aux? DICE?
I have an '03 4.4 with the standard radio and single disc CD player. No changer, no DSP, and no NAV. A coworker pointed me to the DICE (formerly Ice-Link) product and I've been itching to get it but.... where does it connect?I first thought it would connect to the changer wiring that I figured would be in the back but it doesn't look like I'm pre-wired for a changer. Is this normal? All that is back there is the empty rack and I can see the amp and there is an FM gadet for the overhead DVD player to broadcast to the radio but no other connector. Maybe it's pre-wired and just buried in there? Then I looked at the DIY guide on the main page by LVR (Great piece!) and that helped me get a much better feel for what I'm getting into but two questions came to mind. It looks like now all that is available is the DICE so is that different that the Ice-Link connection? And after you do this does the CD player not function at all? or do you move the connections over to the new plug? Thanks everyone for your help and great forum! david |

Now that is an install guide! Great. So it sounds like I just have to dig around a bit more to find the connection.
I'll order one today. I wonder if anything has changed on them since the ICE-Link was discontinued in the US. |
