Mobile Phone connection to '03 3.0i
Any details on the phone connection would be greatly appreciated (user manual is a little sparse on describing this area of the vehicle). |

Crossing your fingers won't help, prayin won't do ya no good
After doing some excessive searching after picking up my '04 about 2 months ago, I discovered that Bluetooth wasn't available on the X5 before the late 2004 builds. I could be wrong about that though. Mine even has a Bluetooth pairing code in the manual, but no Bluetooth. Your best bet is a Dice mediabridge, or something like it. It is pretty much plug and play and you can still use your steering wheel controls. Plus, if you have BMW assist, you already have a microphone installed. Hopefully this helps.

03 4.4 here.
Its a little confusing to me, as BMW seems to have changed its bluetooth strategy several times over the e53 period. Post 16 here might help, or not. http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...uetooth-2.html Personally, I'm thinking of getting the DICE mediabridge and solving the ipod/phone issues at once. As for DICE shipping reliable units lately, at least one poster here has questioned that.

The media bridge by dice is the way to go. Works awesome and if you have any media you listen to on your phone. Ie Sirius, i heart radio, or anything else. It'll play thru the radio!
