Buying the Toyo Proxes S/T

After much research I have decided on the Toyo Proxes S/T in 255/55/18 for my 18" wheels.

I am getting all 4 for $620 w/ mounting, balancing, valve stems, tax..etc from "Town Fair Tire".

Is this a good deal compared to what others are paying?

Dave,

You are the first I've seen do these tires in the 18" flavor. I've been contemplating picking up a set in 19" to replace my Diamaris next summer. Let us know what you decide to do.

I'm running Proxies S/T on the front only right now (19" Sport Wheels) and they work just fine. I think they are a little stiffer than Michelins, but I actually like it. The thread also looks more aggressive, and the shape of the tire makes it look wider than Michelins did. I will definitely be getting a set for the rear when the time comes. As far as price goes, I think I paid in the neighborhood of $400-$500 for the pair, but I don't remember for sure.

That sounds pretty good. I got my 285/19-45's for $210 each including mounting, balancing, and stems. That is before taxes. That price was a little cheaper than America's Tire/Discount Tire. I purchased about two months ago.

Good choice. A modified Porsche Cayanne Turbo just set a speed record of 192.5 MPH riding on Proxy S/T tires.
