Installing 4.8 exhaust on 2002 4.4

I just ordered the 4.8 exhaust for my 2002 4.4 is there anything I need to know before installing. I remember reading a post that somebody did this and they had the muffler shop cut the pipes to make it fit but it was not a big deal. Has anybody else installed a 4.8 exhaust on a 4.4?
