No acceleration?

Has this ever happened to anybody here? From a full stop it seems that the engine doesn't have any juice at all. It feels like a sliding clutch. I hope i'm making sense.

Oh, happy halloween guys!

Could you give a little more detail on your X5?

Sorry about that. I was on my way out to work.... anyhow, it's a 2001 3.0i with an automatic transmission with about 55,+++ miles. I got the 3 year 36k miles warranty but it will not start 'til the 11th of November.

Just wondering if this happened to anybody here. Thanks!

Any fault codes? Sluggish response, stalling and start problems are symptoms of bad camshaft position sensor. It's a common problem after 50K.

Yea, the "service engine soon" light came on and sometimes goes away. I've had a couple of incidents of hard starting. Stalling....I dont think i've experienced it. Sluggish response, yes.

Is that (camshaft position sensor) a big job to do?
